MAT223/224 Help Sessions!
One of our very dedicated tutors, Frances, is holding quite a few help sessions for MAT223/224. Please see below for the detailed plans from Frances. If you have any questions before or after the help sessions, or if you have a question you would like Frances to address during the help sessions, feel free to send an e-mail to: frances.wen@gmail.com
Best of luck on all your exams!
_______________________________________________
1. April 9 (Fri) 1-3pm, SS 2101 - MAT223 - I will be going over the major concepts for MAT223. Questions are always welcome, but people without questions can drop by for a review session.
2. April 13 (Tue) 1-3pm, SS 2101 - MAT223 - Again, I will conduct a more review-type MAT223 session for those who show up without questions from 1-2. My experience is that 2hrs is not enough to cover everything, so any concept that I don't get to on Friday will be discussed on Tue. Q and A style from 2-3.
3. April 16 (Fri) 10am-12pm, SS 2101 - MAT223/224 - Last minute Q&A for the MAT223 students before the 2pm exam. I'm thinking Q & A for MAT224, but if people show up without questions, I will go over concepts / outline procedures for the typical exam problems.
4. April 20 (Tue) 1-3pm, SS 2101 - MAT224 - Style dictated on the people who decide to show up. More likely Q&A since the exam is the day after.
Bottom line: Don't feel that you have to come to any of the above sessions with particular questions. It's fine to come in and say "I haven't got a clue what the prof talked about for __topic of choice__ (even though I went to classes and went over the notes twice)." OR "Can you go over __concept of choice__ from the top?" I understand will try my best to summarize the results / highlight the basics needed to answer the exam questions. That being said, self-preparation is always recommended.
